Steps For Acquiring City Of Amarillo Building Permits

After gathering all the needed documents, the next step is to submit them to the Department of Community Development. Here, they will be received and documented or added to the database of the Department. You should make sure that you have submitted the application accompanied by all other relevant paperwork. Your application will then be distributed to the appropriate departments so that it can be reviewed. This will, however, depend on the scope and complexity of the project at hand. The plan reviewer has to make sure that the plans that have been submitted meet all the city ordinances and codes. After this, you will receive a notice from the plan reviewer.

After two to three weeks, you will receive a notification from the inspector. The feedback you get will depend on whether you have some amendments to make or not. In case there are some resolutions to make, the application will not be approved. On the other hand, if you have met all the requirements, your application will be approved, and you will go to the next step.

If your application needs some amendments, it is wise to resolve the issues as soon as you can so that the process can continue. Usually, the process is put on hold until all the resolutions have been made. Hence, if you want your approval to be made fast, resolve any apparent issues as soon as possible.

If the license has been approved, you will be notified of the same. Also, you will be notified of the fees you are supposed to pay. Once you have paid the fees, you can pick your warranty between Monday to Friday starting from eight o'clock in the morning up to five o'clock in the evening.

After that, you have to ensure that inspections have been done and approved. For the inspections to take place, the license number is required by the inspector. After the final inspection has been done and approved, the Community Development Department will start processing the paperwork to close the warranty.
